Recipe Review: Sweet Pork Burrito Bowls

This is really kind of a review of a couple of different recipes put into one to make the burrito bowls (ok…it’s really more of a plate)
Slow Cooker Sweet Pork Tenderloin
Crisp Cucumber Salsa

After making the pork and cucumber salsa here’s the other toppings we used:
white rice with cilantro
black beans
sour cream
green onion

burrito bowl ingredients

Isn’t this a pretty plate?

So what did the family think?  The score averaged 9.5!  The kids loved it.  The only complaint my daughter had was she thought the pork was maybe a little too sweet.  I happened to like the sweetness that it added.  This was a great family meal and the best part…there was a ton leftover for tomorrow night!

Strawberry Spinach Salad {with poppy seed dressing}

strawberry spinach saladThis is one of my FAVORITE salad recipes of all time.  I got this recipe from a family friend and it has been my go-to recipe for years.  In fact I make it so much that I’m always getting requests to bring it to things and it’s been nicknamed the “MarKay Salad” (wish I could take credit for it!)  The dressing is out of this world yummy (don’t let the green onion scare you!) It’s perfect for a summer BBQ…. or really anything!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Review

“What’s for dinner?”  It’s the dreaded question I hear everyday….  As a working mom I need to make sure that I plan ahead for dinner or else I get home and I’m tired and don’t feel like making anything.  Which is exactly why I LOVE any slow cooker recipes.  I can throw them in my crock pot in the morning and come home to my home smelling wonderful and dinner DONE.  I love to try out new recipes on Pinterest and if I try one that I love then I will share it with all of you!  This one is definitely share-worthy:

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

It’s savory and a little sweet with amazing Asian flavor!

My family rated it, 8,8,8,9  (that’s pretty good for my picky eaters!)
